The Present Study Investigates the Impact of Fermented Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia Crassipes) by Neurospora Crassa on Crude Fiber Intake and Small Intestinal Morphology in Joper Chickens

This study examines the effect of fermented water hyacinth (Neusropora crassa) on consumption and digestion in Joper chickens. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fermented water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) with Neurospora crassa on crude fiber consumption, small intestine length, and digestive organ weight of Joper chickens. The research method employed was an experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 4 treatments and 4 replications, with each replication comprising 5 Joper chickens as experimental units. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results of the randomized design (CRD) based on statistics produced a significant difference (P>0.05) in SK consumption (42.1-69.80%), and no significant difference (P>0.05) in the length of the small intestine duodenum (19.5-19.75cm), jejunum (41.6 - 44.5 cm), ileum (39.5-42.5 cm) and the weight of the digestive organs liver (2.50-3.95g), ventricle (13.63-15 g), proventriculus (2.13-3.70 g) administration of fermented water hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) with Neusropora crassa up to 15% did not provide a significant effect. The conclusion is that fermented water hyacinth Neurospora crassa can be given up to 15%.
